Nature Photography Workshops
Each Workshop is designed to improve one's photographic skills and expression and instill a greater awareness of the beauty of nature.
Maria places priority on working extensively in the field, with each participant on an individual basis. Detailed slide analysis is also an important component of the instructional program. In addition, Maria gives slide presentations and lectures.
Nature subjects such as plants, insects and other small creatures are usually made available to supplement wild subjects photographed in the field.
Workshops begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening with a "get acquainted" session, slide presentation and lecture. Friday and Saturday's shooting session begins at sunrise and continues all day with breaks for meals, a slide analysis in the afternoon and slide presentations in the evening.
Sunday also begins in the field at sunrise and continues until early afternoon. Workshops run rain or shine.
Cost for Weekend Workshops is $490.00 per person ($150.00 non-refundable deposit required.); Canadian funds.
Cost for Weekend Workshops is $425.00 per person ($125.00 non-refundable deposit required.); American funds. balance is due one month prior to the Workshop. There will be a minimum of six and a maximum of eight photographers per course. Participants are responsible for food, accommodations and film developing costs; information will be forwarded for each Workshop.
Close-up equipment, cable release and depth of field preview feature on the camera are helpful. A tripod is mandatory.
Individual and group Workshops may be scheduled by special arrangement.
These Workshops are for photographers who want to add that extra quality of creativity to their close-up photography!
