Power Consumption
Well I said I would do it, so here it is. First a little background
information on the machine itself.
486 dx4-100, hard-drive shutdown after 15 minutes.
14" Energy star svga monitor, low power standby after 5 minutes
and shutdown after 10 minutes.
Reveal stereo speakers. Cheapie 10w.
I connected the above system through a watthour meter just because
I am curious about how much of the hydro bill belongs to the computor.
This is not a scientific study, the machine is usually running about 6
hours per day although it is not in constant use.

Well so much for updating it monthly. Here it is the final reading for
the year:
235 KWhours. Less the starting reading of 1 that puts the cost of running
just this one computer for a full year at $16.50. Not bad at all.
