PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE

WEST HARBOUR TRAILS STUDY

The Cities of Burlington and Hamilton, local conservation authorities, the Hamilton Waterfront Trust, Royal Botanical Gardens, and the Hamilton Harbour RAP Office are working to identify a trail connection between Hamilton and Burlington at the west end of the Harbour.

The preferred trail alignment runs along the east side of York Boulevard across the High Level Bridge to Valley Inn Road. The trail continues down the Valley Inn Road, across the Valley Inn Road Bridge and up Spring Gardens Road. Please join us at a public open house to learn more about the West Harbour Trail Study and provide your comments on the preferred trail alignment.

VALLEY INN ROAD ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

The City of Hamilton has initiated the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process to address structural deficiencies at the Valley Inn Road Bridge.

The project is being planned under the planning and design process as defined in the Municipal Engineers Association's (MEA) Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (June 2000). During the process of this project, the Schedule under the MEA document that will apply to the works proposed will be determined. Upon completiong of the study, a Project File Report will be available for public review and comment. Another advertisment will be published at that time.
