About Transportation for Liveable Communities

Transportation for Liveable Communities is an all-volunteer sustainable transportation advocacy group in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

TLC was formed in September 2000, as a "working group" of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) McMaster.

TLC's first event was a Car Free Day event in 2000. Since then TLC has supported sustainable transportation by holding public speakers series, lectures, protest marches, car free events, parking meter parties, and much more. TLC has intervened at city council to push for improvements to the cycling infrastructure, and to oppose bus fare hikes.

TLC is always looking for new volunteers interested in taking action on pedestrian, cycling and transit issues.
