5. SEPARATE SCHOOL BOARD ISSUES:

Kaywana reported on the Information Night for April 22/04 at St. Joseph's School. Representatives present included Principal from Sts. Peter & Paul School, Superintendent; FI Staff of Cathedral High School. Due to road construction and poor publicity, attendance was minimal. Discussion was lively, noted that information about Cathedral must be present in the St. Joseph's newsletter for the students to start considering the relationship between these two schools.

Thank you cards will be sent for the participation within the Concours.

Kaywana shared communication that has been sent to the Board of Education, requesting to be put onto the Agenda for the June Board meeting. Briefly noting that the Board recognize CPF, thereby all communications from CPF can be distributed via the Board; Requesting adoption of a French Advisory Committee - to provide a forum in which FI issues can be addressed; and to promote a survey to ascertain numbers on the FI enrollment to facilitate an understanding of the issues/concerns of why students may drop out of the program.
