Communications:
Roz reported updating the Splash page on the Website each month
as well as adding meeting minutes and agendas. Our Hotmail account
has received several inquiries regarding the French Course being
offered by CPF in 2003. Roz is trying to find out who was the
winner of the CPF Ontario McGillivary award. CPF Hamilton-Wentworth
nominated Claudette Sims in May 2002.
3. SPECIAL EVENTS:
French Concert
Debriefing:
Total revenues reported were $587.00. Costs were approximately
$700.00. Sales were extremely good considering this was the first
event sponsored by CPF H-W.
Things to do
differently for future concerts:
· Provide order forms upfront, as opposed to random sales
tables at schools
· Remove stairs from stage so children cannot climb
· Have performers let parents and children know at the
beginning of concert that moving around and dancing and singing
is allowed
· Get better advance information from rental location,
including sound system, lighting, etc.
· Stage crew needs to stick around and pay attention;
their absence during the performance was not appropriate and
led to sound problems.
· Screen performers' music choices, the devil story was
not appropriate for this age level
