This is Richard's second tour with Urban Theatre. He performed as Malcolm in last year's "Scottish Play", MacBeth. Richard has kept himself busy; he just finished a three month run in Cappuccino & Cirrhosis at Harbourfront, and filmed back-to-back-to-back starring roles in the soon to be aired History Courtroom for History TV; the made for TV Homespin; and the straight to video The Shadow People.

Cordelia, daughter to Lear

With an inspiration for acting and a fascination for theatre, Dominique plans to attend York University in September to study theatre and receive a degree in abnormal psychology. This is Dominique's first appearance with Hamilton Urban Theatre, alternating the role of Cordelia with Autumn . She has studied jazz and musical theatre since the age of eight, but her heart remains on stage among actors in theatre.

Trevor is glad to be working with the Hamilton Urban Theatre once again, having been in last summer's production of Romeo & Juliet. He just recently finished a role as Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods. You may also catch a glimpse of him as a background actor in the movie X-Men and he is currently working on the film Embalming Love. Watch for him next as the Tinman in the The Village Theatre's rendition of The Wizard of Oz.

Stephanie is a grade 12 student at Westdale Secondary School. She has been in many of Hamilton Urban Theatre's productions such as; Servant in MacBeth, Belinda in A Christmas Carol, Servant in Taming of the Shrew and Juliet in Romeo & Juliet. She has taken Acting lessons at Theatre Aquarius and dance lessons at That's Dancing.

Gabriel is currently surviving the University of Toronto/Sheridan College Theatre Program. This September will be his fourth and final year in the program. This is Gabriel's first tour of duty with Hamilton Urban Theatre. His past credits include Discovery @ Erotic UNI Theatre; Alta Chirugia! ICASTICO, and Lord of the Fries Toronto Fringe Festival.

Autumn has been impassioned about the arts for as long as she can remember. She began fulfilling her dreams last fall when she became Cinderella's evil step-sister in Into the Woods. Since then Autumn has made her film debut co-starring in Embalming Love. Her passions include singing, photography and she hopes to one day become a paramedic. Autumn is thrilled at the chance to share the role of Cordelia, alternating performances with Dominique.

Paul began his theatrical career with the Hamilton Urban Theatre last summer playing Gregory in Romeo& Juliet. He is happily continuing his association with this fine theatre company with the role of Burgundy.

Carl is both honoured and humbled by the opportunity to play Lear. His most recent stage credits include Baptista in Taming of the Shrew, the title role in Fiocello! And the baritone in The All Night Shift. Directorial credits include The Tempest.

Regan, daughter to Lear

Jordan Hall is in her final year of a combined Honour Degree in Drama & Multimedia at McMaster University. She enjoys Shakespeare immensely, and is very pleased to be playing Regan in King Lear. Previous Shakespearean roles have included Marina in Pencles, and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing at McMaster. She sends her love to her family and friends.

Indulging in a fascination with all things medieval, Jordan splits his spare time between rapier combat and equestrian gaming, including learning to joust. In 1982, he played the part of King Richard III, in the Richard III society's 500th anniversary of that King's coronation. Recreation aside, this is Jordan's first foray into acting and theatre..

Lear's Fool

Since she was young, Trista has dreamt of being involved in theatre. She started with simple school plays and then moved on to community theatre plays such as The Music Man, in which she played Ameryllis. Last year she was involved with the Sears Drama Festival for Westdale Secondary School in the award winning production of A…My Name is Alice. This is Trista's second performance with Hamilton Urban Theatre. She played Peter in last summer's production of Romeo & Juliet. The part of the Fool has been Trista's biggest and most challenging role ever, and she has enjoyed every minute and she hopes you will as well.

John is a first year student in television at Mohawk College. He studied drama for two years at the Creative Theatre Co. and has been in numerous theatrical productions in the Hamilton area. His artistic credits include working with the Great Big Theatre Co. on two touring productions, and performing Hungarian folk dances at many functions.

Anna found a love for acting at the age of eight. Over the past four years she has been in various plays, including A Midsummer Nights' Dream, A Christmas Carol, Hamlet, Taming of the Shrew, and most recently, Macbeth. Anna recently graduated to the rank of Orange Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, and also enjoys writing for The Hamilton Spectator as well publishing her on-line magazine for home-learners-Kids' Town. Sonny played the role of Fred in A Christmas Carol adopted by Brian Way at the end of last year. Currently, Sonny is enrolled in a level C class at second city. The Hamilton resident will soon be making Toronto his home to pursue acting full time.

Kyle is currently attending third year at University of Toronto/Sheridan College Theatre and Drama studies specialist program. Some of Kyle's other credits include Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet, Gibbet in The Beaux' Stratagem, and Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

To say Paul has been busy is an understatement, after a many month run of Northern Lights touring production of Cappuccino & Cirrhosis and managing many other small projects and courses. However, Paul is happy to be returning to Hamilton Urban Theatre as Kent and hopes this opportunity will push his acting to a new dimension. Look for Paul to appear in an upstart crow production for 2002 Toronto Fringe Festival.

Sean's involvement with Hamilton Urban Theatre began in the summer of '99 as deck, set, lighting and running crew for Much Ado About Nothing and he has continued since then to be involved with every Urban Theatre show in various capacities both officially and unofficially.

"T-Rex"as he is better known by the cast, lists this as his 7th consecutive play in 3 years. Ed is also a musician, poet and author who is currently directing and co-writing a historical comedy about Pythagoras. Ed's future plans include aspirations to do more stage and film work.

Felix has been passionate about the dramatic arts since his high school days. Now at the age of 26 he has broken out onto stage as the Captain/Curan in this production of King Lear. This is his first onstage role but he has had various positions backstage in a few plays. Outside of theatre he enjoys the outdoors and sports, playing with his son and spending time with his wife, Autumn. Felix plans to further his studies in film production.

Ken has acted and directed with many local groups, starting at McMaster in 1970 as Uncle Vanya. Most recently he played the Grand Vizier in Aladdin. Ken spends summer weekends in the village of Trillingham at the Ontario Renaissance Festival.

Barb was last seen on stage as The Witch in Into the Woods. It has been a pleasure and a learning experience to be Stage Manager for her first Hamilton Urban Theatre production. Barb brings with her a background in film, radio and television, theatre and music.

Goneril, daughter to Lear

Andrea has studied both Visual Arts and Theatre at Redeemer University College. After graduating she was one of the founding members of the Dry Bones Theatre Co. with whom she performed in Boiler Room Suite by Rex Devrell. She currently is working as a visual artist from her studio in Hamilton and has shown her work most recently at Museum London. This has been Andrea's first chance to work with the Hamilton Urban Theatre Association and she has found the experience both entertaining and challenging.
