Meeting for Worship

We meet on First Days (Sundays), at 10:30 am. at our Meeting House at 7 Butty Place. [ directions ].

We follow the unprogrammed tradition, which means our meetings are held in silence until the spirit guides someone to minister (speak). At some meetings there will be no ministry. At others there may be four or five or more contributions.

After Meeting for Worship ends (about an hour after it began) we ask visitors to introduce themselves so we may welcome them. Meeting is followed by coffee, tea and cookies and time for informal discussion.

To get to know us better, come to Meeting for Worship. We'll be glad to see you.

If you are curious about the way inquirers become attenders and eventually may decide to become members of our Meeting, please contact our Clerk or a member of our Ministry and Counsel Committee. These people have demonstrated gifts in assisting others on their spiritual journeys.

Child Care and First Day School

From September through June, we have a small First Day School for children aged 4-12. A planned curriculum is offered on the first and third Sundays of each month. There is always something supervised for children during the worship period. First Day School is also organising family events; see the newsletter for details!

We welcome visitors with babies and small children. Friends will offer to help look after the little ones who become restless after the first ten minutes.
