UPDATES
Jonathan Ames to be released
After more than one month in jail without trial, 19-year-old Jonathan Ames will likely be released tomorrow.
A Crown Attourney has agreed to a Consent Release for Jonathan. This means he will be released
with "stringent" conditions [as described by Det. Andrews]. Jonathan will appear in court tomorrow
morning (Friday, October 1st) at 10 a.m. It will be in a Superior Court room on the 6th or 7th floor.
Therefore, Jonathan should subsequently be released and be a (semi)-free man TOMORROW.

Election problems?
CATCH has received some reports that voters in Wards 2 and 13 have not been notified about where to cast their ballot in tomorrow's city council byelection. There is also some indication that the list of voters is badly out of date.
If you are eligible to vote in the byelection, CATCH would like to hear whether or not you have received a voter's card from the city indicating your poll location. If you haven't gotten this information, it can be obtained on the city website at: http://www.city.hamilton.on.ca/Clerk/election/2004-Voting-Locations/default.asp.
