INJUNCTION ENFORCED — SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE
This morning police surrounded the escarpment area near
Mt Albion Road and moved in to arrest several people.
We
understand that the first person seized was an aboriginal
man who was injured during the arrest. The tipi on the site
was being taken down by police around 11 am this morning
and trees were already being cut on the face of the escarpment.
CBC Radio is reporting live from the location and other
media are also on site. One or more people were in a tree
house earlier today. We do not know at this time if they
have been removed.
