Direct Action Workshop
On
October 27th, Friends of Red Hill hosted an exploratory
workshop on non-violent direct action (NVDA) for those members
interested in learning more about this approach to activism.
With the help of trainers from Toronto Action for Social
Change and Hamilton Action for Social Change, workshop participants
learned about the history of NVDA as well as acquiring a
basic understanding of the techniques involved. As a direct
result of this workshop a strategy committee was formed.
This group will continue to explore the concept of NVDA
as a potential tool.
