Earth Day Hamilton’s Eco-festival invites schools, businesses, non-profit groups and government agencies to share their concerns and expertise for the environment. It is a day of education and entertainment. Exhibitors set up interactive displays that highlight environmental issues with links to the curriculum. A wide variety of Workshops are run all day. An Earth Day Quiz, crafted from questions submitted by each exhibitor relating to their exhibit offers the students a chance to win prizes. Entertainment runs at various times of the day. It is a full day of hands-on opportunities to learn in a fun atmosphere. |

Help the environment -
take public transit.
If you are unable to use the HSR, Earth Day Hamilton will arrange
charter transportation
for your class. A
$1 fee per student may apply.
Any
schools who procure a sponsor for bus transportation for the day will
earn a point towards an Earth
Day Environmental Award. Remember to send a thank you card to your transportation sponsor immediately after the Eco-festival. An excellent idea is to create a banner for the Eco-festival acknowledging your sponsor. Whenever possible, we take pictures of students with banners to send back to the sponsors. |
