McMaster Science for Peace/Pugwash Society

We are a student group at McMaster University that discusses the role of science in world affairs.  Our Purpose is:

1.To bring together students from different levels of involvement in the peace movement. 
2.To provide an opportunity to students to become educated and then to take action. 
3.Raise awareness within the McMaster and Hamilton Community.

We hold bi-weekly events where we discuss/debate topics such as the role of UN in the world, nuclear weapons & the role of Western nations in establishment of world peace. This year, we plan to contribute regularly to the Silhouette (McMaster student newspaper). We will also be publishing our own newsletter.
