Who We Are

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Ontario is the provincial body mandated to serve and support member clubs and communities interested in developing new Clubs. As a non-profit, charitable organization, this body has a number of areas of responsibility to its membership which include new club development, youth empowerment, government relations, general club support and special programs.

Like its Member Clubs, the provincial body has a diverse funding base. Government funds are received solely for specific and time limited projects or activities. There is no reliance on government funding for on-going activities. Fund raising and donations support much of the work of the provincial body.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Ontario is in a state of growth. Over the past few years, new clubs have been approved for provisional or full member status. As the demand for social services increases and the supply decreases, the need for existing, expanded and new Club services is becoming increasingly more evident. Our ability to meet this demand lies in our potential to provide a flexible, alternate form of delivering recreation and social services.

Boys and Girls Clubs are committed to helping kids achieve their potential and, as long as there are young people who need this support, we will be there.
