Why do I get disconnected immediately after connecting?

If you find that you are getting disconnected a few seconds after you have just connected, chances are, you are out of time. Please refer to My Account to check your Account Status. If your Time Remaining is 0 or -1, then you are out of time for the month.

Why do I get disconnected after I send or receive e-mail?

In Outlook Express, click on Tools and then Options. Under the Connection tab, make sure that there is not a check mark in the option Hang up after sending and receiving. If there is, remove it and click on OK.

How do I disable call waiting while I'm on the Internet?

Double click on My Computer, again on Dial Up Networking, and finally on the HWCN icon. Click on Dialing Properties. Place a check mark in the box beside To disable call waiting, dial: and from the drop down box select *70,. Click on OK. Call waiting will be disabled while you are online.

Why does it keep asking me for my password?

If, when you try to connect, you keep having a box pop up asking for your User ID and Password, that means that one of them is wrong. Make sure your Caps Lock is not on and try re-entering the information again. If you keep receiving the box and you know your User ID is correct, then your password is wrong. Remember that the password is case sensitive. If you don't remember your password, call the HWCN helpline to have it reset.
