VE3DC - "Field Day"

Thanks to John VE3FDK our collection of VE3DC "Field Days Past" photos has increased once again!  Enjoy...

This was how "Field Day" looked in 1964.  Above you'll find a picture of John VE3FDK (left) and George VA3GO (VE3BLG then) (right).

Replace the boxes with something slightly newer from Yaesu/Kenwood/Icom and this could just as easily be Field Day 2000?  Things haven't changed all that much since '64.  Frank VE3FDJ, Jim VE3FMT and John VE3FDK (left-right above).

Late in 1999 we received an e-mail from Peter VE3NIX saying that he had some HARC Field Day pictures from the "early years" and would we like to have some copies.  Here they are!  One had "Walt Smith VE3VZ" written on the back, and another (obviously the group shot) had "1st in Canada, 5th in North America" written on the back.  They're the first two.

We have sure come a long way with our equipment, but the spirit of Amateurs gathering on Field Day seems to never change...

Field Day – The “In-Between Years”

Thanks to Rick VE3BK, I have added a few more Field Day pictures to our collection.  See if you can pick yourself (or others) out in some of the shots.  Enjoy!
