We desire to be a place where real needs are met. Compassion Ministries was started to distribute good quality used clothing to needy people in the Hamilton community. The ministry has expanded and now includes toys, furniture and household items (dishes, pots & pans, lamps, etc.).
Do you need help?
Whether you are new to Hamilton or have lived here your whole life, whether you are getting your life back together and getting out on your own, or if you are just in a tough spot, contact us. We might have something to help you.
Can you help us?
We take clothes (men, women, and children), furniture, kitchen stuff, and household furnishings. Even if you're not sure if we take it, contact us anyway. We might have a use for it. You can drop off your gently used stuff in the carport of the house next door at 1136 West 5th Street, or contact us. Sometimes we can come and pick it up.
We are also looking for financial support to keep the operations of Compassion Ministries going. If you would like to donate, please make your cheques payable to Parkview Church and indicate Compassion Ministries on the memo line of the cheque or in a note attached to your cheque. All donations will be used exclusively in the operations of Compassion Ministries and will be receipted for Income Tax purposes at the end of the year. Thank you.
Our mission is to provide a safe environment for men to find hope and healing in recovery through a supportive community.
How do we do this?
We do this through a team of people working together to fulfill God's purpose and vision, joining in unity with local churches, ministries, and the business community to bring hope and healing to men in recovery. We have connections with people and other organizations who can provide housing, employment training & opportunities, and Christ-centered teaching and counselling.
